Manage allows users to maintain the link between the schedule and execution by updating the tasks or activities statuses weekly, monthly, or quarterly. This process can help users easily identify the changes in the Critical Path, and make a new data-driven decision for resource distribution.
There are two methods to do a Status Update:
1. Status in ALICE (UI)
2. Status in Excel spreadsheet
Status in ALICE
On the Manage page, select the intended Data Date
From the Gantt View, select one or more tasks and click on 'sign'
In the Status Update window define:
- Started, Start Date, or select Started as Planned
- Finished, Finish Date, or select Finished as Planned
- Hours Remaining or Percent Complete
- Click OK to finish
Status in Excel spreadsheet
On the Manage page, export the CSV file
Update:
- Actual Start Date and Actual End Date if the tasks started and ended as planned
- Hours Remaining or Duration % Complete if the tasks still in progress
- Save and upload the CVS to ALICE to finish the status update
