The LLM-powered schedule difference report automatically generates an easy-to-read explanation of the differences between two schedules.
Use the report to:
- Identify key differences between schedules
- Understand the reasons for those differences
- Quickly create a narrative to explain the differences to stakeholders
The report can be used in combination with schedule sync and cross-plan Optimize page to unlock the following comparison use cases:
- Imported schedule compared to an ALICE-optimized schedule
- Different versions of the same schedule that change over time
- Schedules from different underlying plans using different logic - for example to study the impact of adding a workfront
How to generate the report:
- From the Optimize page, select two different schedule dots and click ‘compare’ for each of them.
- The first one you select will be treated as the “primary” schedule in the comparison.
- At the bottom of the Optimize page, click ‘details’ to open the solution comparison view of the Analyze page.
- On the comparison view of the Analyze page, click Report in the upper right corner to generate the report.

How it works:
The report will analyze the schedules and provide a report with 5 sections. Clicking the blue text will jump to the section of your schedule where the described changes occurred so you can review the details.
- Executive Summary: Explains the major differences, what drove them, and how ALICE’s optimizations changed the schedule.
2. Project comparison metrics: Highlights the quantitative differences between the schedules and what changes primarily drove those differences.
3. ALICE Optimization: Explains how optimization impacted the schedule, including optimization achieved by the ALICE algorithm and optimization achieved by the user changing parameters such as crew ranges or milestone dates. If you are comparing two imported schedules without ALICE optimization, you may disregard this section.
- Critical Path Analysis: Highlights tasks added or removed from the critical path, and what drove any changes to the critical path.
- Milestone Analysis: Highlights any milestone dates that changed between the schedules and why they changed.
Under the Report, there are the following actions:
- Copy text – Copies the text of a report
- Good summary – Lets us know this report was correct.
- Bad summary – Opens a feedback form, where you can share what didn’t work. You can also submit quick feedback without details. Your feedback helps us improve future reports.
FAQs:
What data security exists for information that is input into the LLM-generated report? Does the LLM train on my data?
Data security is a top priority built into the foundation of our technology. Your data will not be used to train the solution difference report. Furthermore, the LLM technology that powers this report does not store or log any of the user-provided prompts or the generated responses. In short, your data will remain private and secure.
Do I need to worry about hallucinations with this AI-generated report?
We have employed a hybrid approach to generate this report. First, all quantitative data is calculated deterministically based on the underlying schedule data. We then use large language model (LLM) technology to add narrative around those computed numbers. LLMs can make mistakes, and we encourage you to check results for accuracy.
