Thank you to everyone who has provided feedback about ALICE! We have been listening and working to build the best generative construction simulation solution. Here are the improvements that have been completed in October:
New features
- Auto-group by Coordinates: In addition to auto-grouping by BIM parameters, you can now use the geometry and coordinates to quickly create groups by specifying a grouping direction, a tolerance, and a naming template.
- Auto-group Naming Controls: This feature finally allows you to customize the names by adding prefixes, suffixes, or any custom string in the middle of a group name.
- Auto-group More Parameters: We are now able to auto-group using the element name and any other UDF value. This will allow us to leverage BIM parameters to facilitate auto-grouping.
- Active Drivers (for Workforce Limit): This allows us to know when a task is being held up due to the workforce limit being reached (therefore site access for additional labor is restricted) as well as the previous activities that are causing this limit to be reached.
Improvements
-
Import from Plan Transfers Milestones: The import from plan feature allows you to carry over the work done on a model to a new version of that same model. This now includes transferring the Milestones and their assignments.
-
Change Material Type After it Has Been Created: It is common for users to realize they chose the wrong material type after it has been created and assigned to multiple operations. With this improvement, users are able to make that correction without having to re-do any assignments.
-
Tooltip for Long UDF Names: To improve the user’s experience when navigating the element properties table in the Plan page, a tooltip was added that displays the full name of a UDF on mouse hover-over so that the user would not have to do any side-scrolling.
-
Add Progress Percentage Indicator: The upload model progress indicator has been improved to be less discrete and show more granularity in the steps.
