Thank you to everyone who has provided feedback about ALICE! We have been listening and working to build the best generative construction simulation solution. Here are the improvements that have been completed in October:
New features
- Multiple milestones per element: You can now assign multiple milestones to the same element. For example, the topmost slab in Building 1 might be related to both “the completion of B1 structural works” and “the completion of all structural work” in the project depending on the sequence.
- Benefits: Users are no longer required to create “dummy elements” to model milestones, which often comes with having to re-upload the entire model. This makes the ALICE planning experience smoother and reduces the planner’s dependency on BIM modeling resources.
Improvements
-
WBS improvement in Gantt: When custom WBS is used, users were having issues with Milestones being stored in the first category as well as not being able to quickly collapse all branches. This is now improved by adding a default “Project” node when Custom WBS is used.
-
Infeasibility prevention improved: The infeasibility prevention checks in the explore page now take into account calendar-based lags for milestones. (when milestones are the issue) This allows users to be notified of the issue before they even have to create a scenario and go through a report.
