Platform

• Schedule imports now complete up to 40% faster.
• A dedicated Canada ALICE server has been established to better support data residency requirements for our Canadian customers.
• Schedule sync improvements:
  • Users can choose which plan to inherit relationships + lags and custom properties from.
  • The task toggle now also includes WBS node inheritance. Users can now de-select the task toggle if they want to drop WBS nodes that were deleted in an updated version of the schedule (previously, any WBS node that originally existed would appear in subsequent synced imports). 
• Cost calculation improvement:
  • Idle cost for imported schedules is now set to 0, to better align with industry-standard cost calculation practices.
• Improved P6 interoperability for schedules where ALICE adds optimization logic
  • Before, activities pushed right by certain optimization objectives (e.g., compactness) jumped back left after the user hit F9 in P6.
  • Now ALICE adds an “Optimization Logic” milestone that holds these activities in place.
  • In ALICE, you can see why an activity was moved. In P6, it stays where it is after F9.
• Improved import/export options for schedules with ALICE-generated logic
  • For generated schedules with resource or optimization logic added by ALICE, users can now choose how ALICE will handle this logic upon export (preserve ALICE logic or convert to standard logic). 

Plan 

• Progress calculation improvements: 
  • % Complete is now measured against the activity’s Original Duration, similar to P6.
  • Task Status changes now behave like P6:
• Users can now isolate the critical path or longest path for any task on the Plan or Analyze page to better understand their schedule.
• Canvas improvements
  • New toggle to improve visibility on overlapping blocks (disable transparency)
  • New toggle to hide completed blocks in the timelapse view, to make it easier to focus on uncompleted work. 
  • Both toggles are accessible via the settings cog in the upper right corner.

Optimize

• Users may favorite a solution on the Optimize page - favoriting a solution sets it as the reference schedule for targeted optimizations. This replaces the previous project baseline toggle. 
• Bulk actions in resource optimization setup:
  • Set up optimization scenarios faster. Filter, search, and bulk select and apply constraints to multiple milestones or tasks at once.
• Auto-generated solution descriptions are now truncated to show 2 lines maximum, with a view more button to expand.

Project Performance

• A milestone can now be selected as the end date for the performance chart. Note - all tasks dated prior to the milestone will be included in the metrics (ie the date selector does not isolate path).
